Uzvy: The New Way to Group.

Message Boards and Groups are one of the oldest and most long-lived web applications. There hasn't been a significant change in the nature of the group or the design of a groups-oriented website in fifteen years...until Uzvy.

With Uzvy, we simplified the idea of a group into a message board and a share board. We re-did the message board to get rid of having to click to lots of pages to find or read threads. A lot of stuff in most groups like file sharing or photo sharing are better done at other sites so we simplified the idea of sharing into the share board-->a single place to share and vote on any kind of internet content or text.

The simplification of the group into a message board and a share board let us develop a single-page user interface. The Uzvy console is a single page where you can manage all your groups. You never have to leave our main console page to read or write to any of your groups whether you belong to 10 or 100 groups. After using Uzvy for a half hour, it's like dial-up vs. broadband, you'll never ever want to go back to traditional groups or message boards with lots of unwieldy navigation back and forth & page refreshes.

There are many other features...to name a few... We developed a list-creation feature that supports easy, great-looking list creation but is powerful enough to replace social bookmarking. We've built in image and video search. We've also made fairly sophisticated profile pages which you can follow (unidirectional like twitter) and which have activity feeds for yourself and who you follow.

Enter Interest Networking. While there are a lot of applications to keep in touch with your friends, there is also a value to finding people with similar interests outside your circle of friends. Uzvy is intended to be a knowledge-centric community where you won't throw sheep at your friends, but share knowledge and information with people friends or not who share common interests.
